Grandma's Baby Blankets

Grandma's Blankets began 10 years ago based on a flannel baby blanket that our Grandma lovingly made everyone of her children and gradnchildren. She began making them as gifts for her friends, children and grandchildren. Soon everyone she knew looked forward to their child or grandchild receiving one of Grandma's homemade flannel blankets.

The most unique thing about these blankets was the special stitch pattern she used with contrast stiching and how she always varied the fabrics to also contrast on each side. What everyone especially loved was that these blankets were larger than most standard receiving blankets she would use the whole width of the fabric and make them 42" wide.

Otherwise they were the wonderful homeade quality blankets you would expect, 100% cotton flannel, soft and cozy, blankets that imporved with washings and age. Everyone has a favorite story or memory of there childhood blankie. When Grandma became to busy every weekend making blankets for her friends and relatives we had to help her out and open a shop.

These blankets are still made the same way today. All the blankets and other baby items from Grandma's Blankets are made here in California much the way you would make one at home. Our blankets are all sewn by mom's who work in our shop, and they are over seen by Grandma herself. We are family owned business and on any given day in our shop, which is open to the public, you will find Grandma, several of the grandchildren, even possibly one of the several family dogs, including "Vonnie" who is training with 12 year old Sarah to be a Guide Dog for the Blind.
